2026 Prairie Cup - Red Deer

The 2026 Prairie Cup will be hosted by Red Deer Minor Lacrosse from July 24-26, 2026.

We are currently waiting on ALA direction regarding which age divisions will be included for this season. Further details will be shared once confirmed.

2026 Lacrosse Nationals

Nationals are scheduled for August 2026 in Nova Scotia.

  • Exact dates have not yet been posted.

  • Confirmation from the ALA regarding which age divisions Alberta will be submitting is expected by the end of January.

As details become available, we will review opportunities for Ruckus athletes and communicate any pathways to National competition.

Why Stay in the Female Program?

The 2026 season offers more female-specific opportunities than ever before:

  • Dedicated female league play in the GELC

  • Provincials and All-Star competition

  • Alberta Summer Games - U15 Female

  • Prairie Cup participation

  • Potential Nationals pathway as age divisions are confirmed

PLUS — More Playing Opportunities Through Cross-Affiliation

As per CALL Regulation 12.05, female athletes who reside in CALL and play on a Ruckus Female team may also affiliate back to their home club’s co-ed team at the same competitive level, provided there is no conflict with their primary Ruckus schedule.
This gives Ruckus athletes extra floor time, more development reps, and increased game experience, all without leaving the female program.

Our goal is to create a clear development path for female athletes—from grassroots to high-performance—and to build a strong, sustainable female lacrosse community in Central Alberta.

Whether you’re a returning player, a multi-sport athlete looking for something new, or someone who stepped away and wants to come back—we’d love to see you on the floor for 2026.
